Stanley House
This house was built in the late 17th century with a later extension; and 20th century  
alterations and additions.  The house has a timber-frame with whitened brick nogging on
painted sandstone plinth; red tile roof with right end external stack, partly rebuilt. Extension
is whitened stone with slate roof and end stacks.

EXTERIOR: The house front is single storeyed with attic, 2 bays; extension to left is 2
storeys, 1 bay. Original house 6-panel frontage built off a plinth consisting substantially of
bedrock, door to left of centre is framed, ledged and braced. Windows are proportioned
2-light flush casements ground floor with 2-light casements in gabled attic dormers.
Extension has sashes with exposed weight boxes and glazing bars at both levels.

INTERIOR: Exposed ceiling timbers and some original 4-panel doors.
