The Station Masters House

The old railway line in Parkgate dates back to 1866 when it ran straight through to Hooton.  In 1886 it was extended
further to West Kirby, only to be closed in 1956 and demolished in 1964.  The site of the old station is now a car park and
the path of the old railway line is now under Wirral Country park.  The only reminder of these past times, is this fine
building built from locally quarried red brick which served as the station masters house for nearly a century.
