Mostyn Infants School

This charming old house was built in 1860 and was used as an infants school for nearly 110 years.  The building suffered
from many problems, not least its size.  It was prone to leaking, there was little or insulation. The original windows
provided poor light for the single classroom and there was no ventilation in most rooms, leaving it unbearable in the
summer months.  The school was moved further up the road to a larger building leaving the infants school to be used as
a domestic residence which it continues to be today.
