| old Whisky, an old Scotch no longer sold in the local inns. The name "White Horse" comes from an ancient inn in Edinburgh's Canongate. The white washed cottage to the right of the picture is the old Coach & Horses inn. It was demolished 20 years after this picture was taken and moved to the other side of Barnston Lane where it stands today with its huge imposing Black & White boardings. |
