Prenton Water Tower stands in the illustrious area of Pine Walks Prenton.  The site is
about 50 metres south of the reservoir at the head of Reservoir Road.  The old tower
stands in a small wooden area and differed in design from most water towers as it was
built upon a solid stone base for extra support.  Although still in existence the old towers
water supply was replaced in the early 80's by a huge underground water supply within
the village.  The water tower occupies the highest point in Prenton and is a common
feature from most areas for anyone who is likely to be interested.
